New City Church is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Dave Ludwig is our recently called Lead Pastor at New City Church. Before moving to El Segundo, he and his wife Jess served at Palm Desert Community Presbyterian church for 6 years, and at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Newport Beach for 13 years prior to their time in the desert. Dave earned his M.Div. from Fuller Seminary and is currently (and slowly) finishing his Doctorate Degree at Fuller. Jess and Dave have 5 kids: Macy, Owen, Elias, Cora, and Jalen. The entire Ludwig family are excited for the next season of ministry at New City Church!
Executive Business Director
Ken Holliday and his wife Linda, a retired American Airlines Flight Attendant who flew for 35 years, have two adult children. Ken and Linda have been members of the church since 2010, and Ken has been the Head Usher and Greeter for many of those years. In November of 2021, Ken accepted the position of Executive Business Director for the church and is responsible for running the day-to-day business of the church. Email Ken.
Keren, who attended Fullerton College for music studies, wants us to remember that reaching out to those in need is what God has called us to do because lives are changed through Christ’s love. Along with her passion for helping others, Keren also loves dogs and volunteers at rescues. Keren met her husband, Daniel, while playing music together for a high school winter camp. Email Keren.
Avery, a graduate of Westmont College, has spent years coaching young people in faith in Christ and in beach volleyball. He competes in AVP Beach Volleyball and is active in FCA. Avery strives to use his career to share his testimony and has a heart for leading youth to know their identity in Christ. Avery and his wife Aly have two children. Email Avery.
Children's Ministry DirectorKaren holds a certificate in Ministry and Biblical Studies from Hope International University. She has been involved in worship, youth and children's ministry, and outreach programs. She works closely with Hannah Hewitt, our New City Kids Volunteer Coordinator. Their goal for Children's Ministry is be "a thriving team creating a safe and exciting place for children to know Jesus." Email Karen.
Sonya is married to Joe, pastor of Sovereign Grace Fellowship in Torrance. They have six children. Besides assisting her husband in ministry, Sonya has been homeschooling for 20 years. Their four oldest children are now adults, and with a little more time on her hands, Sonya began working as Administrative Assistant at New City in June 2019. In her spare time, Sonya enjoys hiking, being in nature, and reading a good book.
